Privacy policy

What we collect

When you sign in we receive your email address and display name from our identity provider (signin.ounie.com). When you generate an investor update we record which of your brains you selected, the notes you entered, and the update produced (its text, metrics, and a citation pointer to the brain page each part drew from). When you add a recipient we store the name and optional organization you enter, mint them a private view link, and record when their link is opened (a view count plus first- and last-view timestamps) so you can see who read the update.

What we don't collect

We don't track you across the web. There are no third-party analytics scripts, no advertising pixels, no session replay. We don't sell, share, or resell anything you generate. Every investor update belongs to the account that made it.

Where data lives

Application data (investor updates, recipient lists and their view links, view counts, credit ledger entries) is stored in a single Neon Postgres database hosted in the US. Your brain content itself stays on ounie.com — Investor Updates reads it at generation time through Ounie's API as you, and never keeps a copy of your sources. DOCX exports are generated on demand and never stored.

Recipient view links

Each recipient you add gets their own unguessable link at investor.ounie.com/u/<token>. That page is marked noindex (search engines are asked not to list it), but anyone who has the link can view the update — so only share each link with the intended investor. Removing a recipient, or deleting the update, makes their link stop working immediately. We do not send emails on your behalf; you copy and share each link yourself.

Payments

Payments happen on ounie.com, where Stripe processes credit purchases. This product never sees your card number; it only reads and debits your Ounie credit wallet. Stripe's privacy policy lives at stripe.com/privacy.

Your brain content

Investor updates are generated only from the brains you own and select, fetched through Ounie's API with your own session — Investor Updates can never see anyone else's brain, and never stores your sources. Deleting an investor update removes it and all its recipient links; your brain on ounie.com is untouched.

Deletion

To delete your account or download your data, open a privacy ticket. We respond within 7 days and complete the deletion within 30.
